Promoting Road Awareness for Youths©
The Rrrrallye Team organise a special day for our Stuart at Keith Grammar School grounds, this year it will be on Sunday the 19th of June.
Stuart was passenger in a friend’s car when they had a bad accident on the 30th of May 2008 and tragically Stuart fell asleep on the 31st May 2008 just sixteen days before his eighteenth birthday. Family and friends all miss Stuart tremendously. We raised money at the Rrrrallye in order to purchase more vouchers to allow 17-25 year olds to go through their Skid Car Course, get money off a Pass Plus or Advanced Driving course so that they can come away with some more knowledge on how to handle their cars while driving on any road conditions.
Please try to encourage youngsters to do these courses as it does help to improve their awareness of road conditions and their own cars. We are trying to get family members to get together and buy these vouchers for their youngsters whether it is for a birthday or for Christmas if you wish to do this for someone and need more information then please mail us at the address given below.
On the day of the Rrrrallye, there will be lots of stalls providing fun games to take part in with different car clubs attending, some from the local area and others from further afield. Skid Car Scotland have already booked a place and we are awaiting confirmation from other emergency services and also a brake reaction car and seatbelt enforcer. If you are feeling fit then please enter the 10k which will be taking place on the day. The Grammar School Hall will be buzzing with all sorts of entertainment on the stage and teas will be readily available along with a burger or two.
Many of the stalls and entertainment will be organised by young people ranging from 10-25 years of age who will be working towards Awards so please give them as much support and encouragement to help them achieve their goals. If you know someone in this age group or are in this age group yourself and would like to know more about these Awards, please feel free to give us a shout and we can give you more information.
